The problem with Demeter Fragrance Chrysanthemum is quite simple and obvious–– it’s the scent. It’s actually incredibly long-lasting, which I was admittedly not hoping for when I tested it, but it just stuck around the whole day. The issue is, I didn’t like it. For some reason, it doesn’t surprise me that the Funeral Home scent Demeter does includes the Chrysanthemum. But yeah, won’t be wearing that one either.
A must-have scent for those that love green florals.
Fresh and uplifting, like opening the florist’s cooler and breathing in all the flowers, leaves and stems together. Truly like smelling the living Chrysanthemum.
I can definitely understand the description “green florals” because that’s what this smells like to me. I don’t mind a bit of musk, or a bit of floral, or a lot of sweet, in my scents. Demeter Fragrance Chrysanthemum isn’t an overpowering scent, and I honestly can’t quite place my finger on what it is I don’t like about it, but I’m going to go with the green “fresh” notes it has. I also don’t know how similar this smells to a real chrysanthemum, but I am kinda deterred from sniffing them after this. I should probably clarify that it’s not like this perfume stinks, it’s just not my type at all.
Well then, it’s quite obvious that Demeter Fragrance Chrysanthemum isn’t for me, but if you like green florals or chrysanthemums it is probably worth checking out as the lasting powering is quite good (all day on me). I’m honestly not sure what I’ll do with my bottle as I don’t even want to use it as a room spray, but hey, they can’t all be hits, and next up I’ll be testing Angel Food cake which I already know I’m going to love. So there’s that.
What kind of scents do you dislike? Have you ever smelled a chrysanthemum?
