December 2014 Empties

December 2014 Empties 5I’m actually surprised that despite heading off on vacation on the 18th, there’s a decent stash for my December 2014 Empties. Originally, I thought I might combine these with January, but I’ll stick to separate posts as I continue my impossible quest to use up all the products…

December 2014 Empties 4I got a lot of help from my boyfriend with the first two of my December 2014 Empties, because he uses a ton of shampoo. As a result, I was even so kind as to share my TRESemme Renewal Hair & Scalp Shampoo* with him, which he also loved. This giant bottle is really affordable and awesome for dry hair and scalp, especially in the wintertime. He also finished up my bottle of Garnier Fructis Fruit Sensation Grapefruit Tonic Shampoo*, which smells amazing but isn’t quite moisturizing enough for me personally.

I went through the rest of my Balea Hand Soap in Mandarin Pomelo, which smells nice but isn’t super exciting. I also sadly finished my Yankee Candle in Autumn Wreath, which I shared in a Friday Favourites and absolutely loved the scent of, even though it burned kinda smokey, as you can tell from the jar…

December 2014 Empties 3Well I guess that’s where the packaging for my final MaskerAide in Detox Diva* ended up but it doesn’t count since I included in my November Empties…  Actual December 2014 Empties include the Ole Henriksen The Clean Truth Cleansing Cloths* which I got as a part of the Unwrap Your Radiance Collection, and later repurchased myself in Black Friday Sephora Order (and brought to Peru). These wipes are expensive but so refreshing and I just love the scent. I wouldn’t repurchase unless they were a part of a set/sale though. I also managed a bath or two, and used up my Lush Wizard Bubble Bar* from the Halloween Collection. It smelled great and made the water purple and sparkly.

December 2014 Empties 2The three products I am most excited to have in my December 2014 Empties are ones I have been working on for awhile. I really liked the Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream* but it lasted forever, technically a good thing but I like finishing products and was tired of the scent by the end. I was super sad to say goodbye to my Benefit Gimme Brow* but luckily I got a replacement for Christmas in a Secret Santa Exchange. Finally, a lip product! Funny enough, this is the second L’Oreal Colour Riche Balm in Nourishing Nude I’ve finished, with the first one making it into my June 2013 Empties. I love this product, obviously, and even dug it out a little, but I have a few other shades from the line before I consider chasing after this one again… But I do love it!

December 2014 EmptiesFinally, there is a ton of tea in my December 2014 Empties, although if you saw how much I still had, you’d realize I haven’t really made a dent in the problem at all. 2015 should probably be a tea no-buy, but I’ve already made two DAVIDsTEA orders… Whoops. I did finish up the Harrods Premium Black Tea in Mango with a lot of help from a coworker who loved it as well. There’s also a small bag of DAVIDsTEA Detox which I love and have repurchased, it’s one of the few green teas I find absolutely delicious. I also finished my Steeped Tea in Candy Orange* which was quite yummy!

There are also a few Steeped Tea Samples in Bubblegum, Toasted Almond, and Razzle Dazzle Raspberry that my friend Ambur sent me. I really enjoyed DAVIDsTEA Brazillionaire which I am tempted to purchase in the future. I also used up two of my advent calender flavours, which were DAVIDsTEA Secret Santa which I really like and DAVIDsTEA Bubbie’s Baklava which I honestly don’t remember

Alright, that’s it for my December 2014 Empties, with more to come soon since it’s basically time for January ones! I finished only 8 beauty products, but another 10 if you include tea and candles. Still, considering I only had about half the month and said goodbye to a lip balm, I’m quite happy with the results.

Have you tried any of these products?
