Another day in July, another Christmas tea review on Writing Whimsy. Well, at least I’m drinking it right? DAVIDsTEA Santa’s Secret was clearly purchased awhile ago as a part of the Holiday Collection (you can check it out in my DAVIDsTEA Haul here) but it appears to be a returning favourite so if you’re interested in grabbing your own you just have to wait until December?
DAVIDsTEA Santa’s Secret smells like chocolatey mint to me, which reminds me of the tea Read My Lips, even though there’s no chocolate in the ingredient list which includes black tea, peppermint leaves, candy cane sprinkles and flavourings (artificial and natural).
Like almost all of my teas, I like to drink DAVIDsTEA Santa’s Secret plain, but I can imagine it would be nice with a dash of milk or even made as a latte. It’s definitely a cozy tea to drink warm and perfect for a cold winter night. Idon’t generally like mint in my tea so I was surprised by what a fan I was of DAVIDsTEA Santa’s Secret, but it’s definitely more candy cane than traditional mint and overall it makes for a great wintery tea. Although I’m almost done my current stash but I will definitely be picking up DAVIDsTEA Santa’s Secret again in December.
What tea are you drinking at the moment?
