Did you know that Clinique has never featured faces in their print advertisements before? I hadn’t realized it, but that’s all changing now with their new #FaceForward campaign. Clinique went with three accomplished women to celebrate their products– Tavi Gevinson, Hannah Bronfman and Margaret Zhang.
These new Clinique spokeswoman are part of the #FaceForward initiative which asks: “If you could give your future-self any advice, what would it be?” I love the idea behind this question, because it’s actually targeting something we can control. I decided to answer it myself:
Dear future Zoë,
Please, at some point, finish your degree, but continuing to always work towards something and have new goals. Still, remember to take a break, pet a puppy, and spend time with your family and friends. I hope that you continue to be passionate about a zillion things, and one of those things better be unicorns (they’re magical!)
And because if you’re anything like past Zoë, you need the encouragement– YOU’RE AWESOME AND YOU CAN DO IT.
Clinique’s 3-Step Skin Care System is also looking to the future and I received a Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Cream* in conjunction with the campaign. I’ve actually purchased the Moisturizing Gel before (or at least redeemed Shopper’s points for it!), which is meant for oilier skin, and I love it, so I was happy to try out the more intense version.
The Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Cream is a fragrance-free, thick yellow cream that honestly reminds me a bit of margarine and for some reason I love that. It is really rich but it absorbs very quickly and gives my skin a ton of moisture. You don’t need much of this cream, which is targeted to very dry to dry combination skin, and I like using it at night. I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of it during the winter when my skin dries up a bit!
