I’m a big fan of the original Clinique Chubby Sticks (I shared a review of two shades here), so I was definitely interested in trying out the latest launch from the line, Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint*. Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint is available in four sheer shades that appear slightly different depending on your lip colour. I find these have wear similar to a lip balm, which is around two hours on me. Even though these are very sheer, you can still tell a slight difference when I’m wearing them so I did include lip swatches for all shades.
All the Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint shades have a balmy feel to them and no scent or flavour, making them a good choice for people who don’t like the minty feel a lot of lip crayons have. The first shade is Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint in Poppin’ Poppy, which is a peach tint. As I said, all the shades are very sheer but it does add a small amount of tint to my lips.
The second shade is Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint in Coming Up Rosy, which is the most noticeable on my lips and gives rosy red tint to them. All of these shades can easily be reapplied without a mirror, so they are very easy to keep in your bag and use throughout the day. They are also more moisturizing than a traditional lipstick, but I wouldn’t say they are super intensive in the hydration. However they do feel very nice on the lips.
I found the Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint in Budding Blossom to be the most moisturizing for some reason, and it is also incredibly subtle on the lips giving a very pale pink tint to them. I love how the packaging on these makes it easy to tell what shade you are reaching for, and also how the crayon has a bit of a sheer look to it, just like the product inside!
The final shade is Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint in Flowering Freesia, which has a very slight violet tint to it, that is the most sheer on the lips for me but it does make your lip appear more cool-toned.
Although I really enjoy the Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint, they are quite sheer in colour, so although they do add something extra to the lips and are comfortable to wear, I’m not sure they are quite as much as a standout product to me as the original. That said, they are super easy to touch up with, the packaging is great, and if you’re looking for a glossy sheer lip product these are a great choice. My personal favourite is the Clinique Chubby Stick Baby Tint in Coming Up Rosy.
