Probably the most important beauty product you can own is sunscreen (okay for me it is also concealer!) and I am continuing to try to do a better job protecting my skin from the sun. My job can involve some outside field work, and the sunscreen I had been using of my face was… not for your face, and definitely causing breakouts, so I was really excited to try Clarins Sunscreen for Face Wrinkle Control Cream SPF 30*. Like, weirdly excited for this little yellow tube of something that promises to control against wrinkles.
Clarins Sunscreen for Face Wrinkle Control Cream SPF 30 has a light “sunscreen” scent I like, with no coconut or weird artificial stuff going on. It is pretty thick in consistency but absorbs very well into the skin although it needs a moment to dry down the end result is non-greasy. It contains a special complex by Clarins that includes baobab extract, anthyliss, ayapana, olive tree, and silver birch to help protect against wrinkles and while I can’t tell you the long term benefit of using this particular sunscreen, it hasn’t caused any issues with my skin which means I’m actually wearing it and that long term benefit is huge.
The Clarins Sunscreen for Face Wrinkle Control Cream SPF 30 is definitely a bit pricier ($34) than my previous sunscreen options, but using it just on your face this would last months and having a sunscreen you are happy with is definitely a worthwhile investment. There’s also an SPF 50 available.
If you’re interested in sunscreen (obviously you are) but the Clarins Sunscreen for Face Wrinkle Control Cream SPF 30 just isn’t for you? Jenn from A Beautiful Zen has a fantastic roundup of a EIGHT different options from Clarins on her blog here (I want to try them all…).
