I swear I’m about to move onto Fall but I actually have one last Summer Collection to share, and you’re not going to want to miss it! The Clarins Summer 2016 Collection is a mix of bronzy shades and longwearing formulas perfect for the hot weather and sunshine.
The Clarins Waterproof Eyeshadow is a brand new formula available in 4 stunning metallic shades. I love that it comes in a squeeze tube because it’s hygienic and keeps the exposure to air to a minimum, which should keep it lasting longer. It’s also really easy to control how much product you get, and all 4 shades are gorgeous. It’s a soft creamy texture that’s loaded with shimmer and it quickly sets to a budge-proof formula. Although they can blend out more sheer, I pat them onto the lid for a more opaque finish.
In the above look I’m wearing the Clarins Waterproof Eyeshadow in Golden Peach on the inner corner, Copper Brown all over the lid and Golden Sand in the crease. The finish is definitely waterproof and it takes a little longer to remove at the end of the day, but it’s perfect for a hot day on the beach. That said, as a result it’s a little drying, so if you have a lot of fine lines on your eyelids it probably would not be a flattering formula.
I absolutely adored the bronzer from last year’s summer collection–in fact, for most of the year it’s been the only one I owned–so I was really excited to see what this year’s limited edition bronzer looked like. The Clarins Bronzing & Blush Compact actually contains a peachy blush in the middle and three lightly shimmery bronze shades surrounding it. You can definitely apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks and the bronzer along your cheekbones, but I just mix all 4 shades together for a peachy bronzed look. The formula is smooth and lovely and I just love that summer glow!
The new Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 11 Orange Shimmer was my first time trying out this much-loved formula but now…it’s much-loved by me as well. This is basically a melted, really comfortable lip balm with a delicious sweet scent. The fuzzy applicator feels lovely and the lightweight gloss has a very sheer orange tint, which despite the name is not at all over-loaded with shimmer. This is non-sticky and very comfortable to wear. Plus, the packaging means it’s not going to melt in your pocket or purse…real summer problems.
The final product I tried out from the Clarins Summer 2016 Collection is the Clarins Fix’ Make-Up. This is a refreshing makeup setting spray that hydrates and feels amazing just applied whenever on a hot day. The packaging is really sleek–I would feel so chic just pulling this out of my bag to refresh. I love the floral fruity scent. I didn’t notice a dramatic improvement in my makeup wear–maybe an hour or two–but it feels great and I would definitely take it with me on a long hot day out.
In the above look I’m wearing all the products from the Clarins Summer 2016 Collection together! These products are perfect for a comfortable, sun-kissed, long-lasting makeup look that’s natural and a bit glowy.
I think the Clarins Summer 2016 Collection is my last Summer collection to share with you, and as sad as I am about that I’m happy to end on such a high notes. The new formulas and shades from Clarins are perfect for Summer and I definitely recommend checking out a piece (or 4) from this collection before they disappear with the arrival of plums and greys for fall.
