One brand I’ve fallen in love with since beauty blogging that I feel doesn’t get quite enough attention is definitely Clarins (check out my past reviews of the brand here). Lately I’ve been using new makeup from the Clarins Spring 2016 Collection that definitely remind me how much I love this brand. The products I’ve been loving? The Clarins Ombre Iridescente Silver Green* and Silver Plum* as well as the Clarins Rouge Eclat in Rose Praline*.
Clarins products always come in their signature red boxes and have stylish but classic packaging. I pretty much jumped up and down when these arrived because I’ve fallen in love with both products in the past and was excited to see new shades in the ranges.
The Clarins Ombre Iridescente Silver Green and Silver Plum come in little color-coordinated pots. I’ve reviewed a few Clarins Ombre shades in the past including the Clarins Ombre Matte in Carbon (the perfect black eyeshadow) and Nude Pink (a gorgeous browbone shade) but my absolute favourite was the stunning Clarins Ombre Iridescente in Aquatic Grey from the Clarins Aquatic Treasures Summer 2015 Collection so I am so so glad they added more shimmery shades.
The Clarins Ombre Iridescente in Silver Green is a silvery olive green and Silver Plum is a silvery mauve taupe. These eyeshadows fall somewhere between cream and powder with intense pigmentation and a stunning shimmery finish.
I applied the Clarins Ombre Iridescente Silver Green all over my lid and then used the shade Silver Plum on the outer third and into the crease. These shadows lasted all day and looked stunning, even without primer. It is easily one of my favourite formulas.
Across all formulas, I think my favourite product from Clarins are their lip products. They just always do a comfortable lip product that is flattering to wear. Their new shades in the Rouge Eclat line are no exception, and I’m especially in love with the one I tried, the Clarins Rouge Eclat in Rose Praline.
The Clarins Rouge Eclat in Rose Praline comes in a gold bullet encased in a clear rectangular plastic. The shade itself is a peachy nude. I’ve previously reviewed the Clarins Rouge Eclat Lipstick in Pink Magnolia from the Fall 2014 Collection (wow I’ve been blogging a long time!) and loved it, but I love Rose Praline even more.
The Clarins Rouge Eclat in Rose Praline just glides right onto the lips and the creamy formula is incredibly comfortable to wear. It has a light fruity scent and lasts a couple hours. I also think it’s just such a gorgeous colour!
I applied all three new products together for the above look featuring the Clarins Ombre Iridescente in Silver Green and Silver Plum as well as the Rouge Eclat in Rose Praline. This look really gives me a glow and makes me feel ready for the transition into Spring. Just waiting for the weather to catch up!
I can’t recommend a standout product from this post because not only do I think the Clarins Ombre Iridescente in Silver Green and Silver Plum as well as the Rouge Eclat in Rose Praline are worth picking up, but I actually want more shades from both lineups as well.
Have you tried the Clarins Ombre Iridescente Shadows or Rouge Eclat Lipsticks before? Let me know what you think of these products.
