Every season Clarins comes out with a gorgeous new, well-curated collection and Spring 2015 is no different. There’s a great mix of products for your entire face, but I have two in particular to share today– the Clarins Garden Escape 6-Colour Eye Palette* and the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in Honey*. While the palette is limited edition, the oil is a permanent edition to the Clarins line up.
I love Clarins’ luxe gold compacts and red velvet pouches, and the Clarins Garden Escape 6-Colour Eye Palette has a really pretty design on it. Inside there are six shades in an unusual combination of green, pinks, and a couple neutrals. There’s also an applicator that has a sponge-tip on one end, and a small brush on the other, as well as a mirror on the lid of the palette.
Clarins shadows can be used wet or dry, but unlike my experience with the Fall collection, I didn’t feel like I had to use the Clarins Garden Escape 6-Colour Eye Palette wet to get pigmentation to it. So…I didn’t, because I hate using shadows wet! There’s a gorgeous floral design embossed on the shadows, although that will fade away with use. The shadows themselves are really soft and the shades are buildable.
I’m especially loving the light olive green and taupe shades, although that dark green in particular is really rich and gorgeous. I haven’t yet created a look that combines the green and pink together, but in the above photos I’m wearing the three shades on the left side of the Clarins Garden Escape 6-Colour Eye Palette. The formula is really smooth and blendable, and I think the green shades are perfect for my hazel eyes!
A brand new product to the brand’s lineup is the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in Honey. For spring, it is also available in a limited edition Raspberry scent. To be honest, I kinda want both now. It has packaging similar to a stout lipgloss, with an over-sized doe-foot applicator. I actually find it pretty fun to use!
Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in Honey has an amazing honey scent I adore, and although the product initially resembled honey to me it is actually much less thick in consistency. So uhh, don’t leave it resting on its side like I did for an attempt at “artist” photos–leaking will occur (see evidence below).
This is a very luxurious, non-sticky gloss that you can apply before bed, or even wear out for some extra shine and moisture. There’s no pigment, just a really glossy finish. It melts into your lips and it is just really lovely to wear, especially during these cold and dry months!
I really enjoyed both these products. The Clarins Garden Escape 6-Colour Eye Palette has silky shadows in an unusual combination of shades, and the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in Honey is really lovely to use. Although I am glad the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil is a permanent product, I really recommend grabbing the Raspberry edition while you can if you’d prefer that scent, and giving it a try.
The Clarins Garden Escape Collection also includes a gorgeous blush and the Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector in 6 shades I have my eye on (can I have them all?).
