I feel like it’s pretty obvious at this point, but over the last few months I’ve become pretty obsessed with the rose scent. Although I did grab a bottle of the Lush Rose Jam perfume, I was still looking for a more subtle version take on the scent, which is when I fell in love with Chloe Roses De Chloé Eau de Toilette*. I lusted over it for a couple months before being sent a bottle, and yes, it was worth the wait.
I should probably do a better job of describing the scent of Chloe Roses De Chloé Eau de Toilette then to simply say it smells AMAZING, but it does. This is a fresh rose scent, unlike my Lush Rose Jam perfume which is more of a heavier sweet, caramelized one. In addition to rose, the fragrance also contains notes of bergamont, magnolia, white musk, and amber. To me, the end result is a rose garden, floral but not overwhelming, feminine and light but unmistakable.
Chloe Roses De Chloé comes in an adorable, gorgeous bottle with a pink bow that looks great on display but is pretty travel friendly because of its sturdy shape. My one complaint is that Chloe Roses De Chloé is a Eau de Toilette, not a Perfume, but I do find it has decent lasting power of about 5 hours, after which I need to reapply. However, I do generally find fresher scents not to last as long, and, like I said, the bottle is pretty easy to put in your purse or decant some into a travelo depending on what size you have.
Ultimately, I think Chloe Roses De Chloé Eau de Toilette smells like a fresh rose garden in bloom, and it’s definitely a scent I’ll be wearing a lot as the promise of spring approaches (eventually). The mix of notes is intricate and I am now lusting over other Chloe scents, in particular, L’Eau de Chloe and Chloé Eau de Parfum. To me, Chloe Roses De Chloé is the perfect scent, and although I own way too much perfume at the moment, I know I’ll be very tempted to rebuy once I finish my bottle. Cannot recommend this enough!
