After spending a couple months obsessed with Chloe Roses De Chloé Eau de Toilette*, I had the chance to test out another fragrance from the brand, Chloe Eau de Parfum* and see if I was just as in love with it.
Okay, so first up, yes, I still prefer the Rose version, but Chloe Eau de Parfum is also very lovely and perfect for spring and I will definitely be reaching for it. There are top notes of pink peony, freesia and lychee which provide a light freshness to the scent while layered beneath that is the rose along with magnolia and lily of the valley. The base notes are cedarwood, amber and honey. To me Chloe Eau de Parfum smells like a fresh garden the scent of peony mixed with rose and the undercurrent of cedar. This is a light floral scent with a twist, a clean but lightly powdery scent that feels natural when you wear it, like a really lovely soap that was left behind on your skin.
In terms of wear, I get about 6 hours of wear out of Chloe Eau de Parfum, but I did expect more because it was an EdP. Unfortunately I don’t seem to get the longest wear out of more fresh scents, so although a faint scent may linger close to my skin, I do need to refresh this part way through the day if I want it to last. I love the consistency of the Chloe packaging and this looks gorgeous next to Chloe Roses on my dresser (check them out here). Just like the scent, the Chloe bottle is clean, simple, and feminine. I am finding that the silver tarnishes slightly though and will need to be cleaned every few months.
Have you tried any the Chloe scents? What perfume will you be reaching for this spring? I’ll be doing a post with some of my recommendations soon!
