China Glaze Lubu Heels with Chantal

SAD NEWS EVERYONE. Or at least, sad for me. Today is the day I leave California and go back to winter 🙁 On the bright side, the lovely Chantal from Chantal’s Corner was kind enough to stop by and keep Writing Whimsy busy while I spend way too many hours in transit. California is far.

Hi everyone!

I’m Chantal from Chantal’s Corner and I’m excited to be Zoë’s guest today as she’s off having fun in warmer weather.

The polish I’m showing you is definitely not new, but it’s new to me and I wore it a few weeks ago for a Christmas party. This is China Glaze “Lubu Heels”. Isn’t it gorgeous?!?

The brushes on the China Glaze bottles are the regular round brushes and they work well.

Lubu Heels is a black jelly base with mini bright red glitters. Two coats provide full opacity, but I went with three coats because I find it adds more depth to these types of polishes. I then finished it off with two generous layers of butter LONDON Hardwear P.D. Quick Topcoat.

This polish really comes alive when bright lights (or the sun) shine on it. I didn’t quite capture that in my pictures, but you can see it a bit on the bottle in the picture below.

I definitely cannot afford a pair of Louboutin, and I don’t keep my nails long enough to do a Louboutin Manicure (black on top and red underneath), but I can happily go for a few coats of Lubu Heels on my fingertips!

Thank you Zoë for having me as your guest today, and I hope you, Zoë’s reader, enjoyed my post! Come by and say hi at Chantal’s Corner.

– Chantal 🙂

Thanks so much to Chantal for stopping by! I’m actually a big fan of China Glaze polishes and I also have Lubu Heels. It has a lot of depth she’s done a gorgeous job capturing it! Make sure to visit Chantal’s Corner for flawless swatches, nail art, tea and fashion. You can also check out this yummy caramel & rum tea review Chantal did while I was traveling last year. Maybe I can her again in 2017!
