When I shared my Rebellious Valentine’s Day Makeup Look it was impossible not to swoon over the gorgeous eyeshadow I used in it, so I absolutely knew that the Charlotte Tilbury The Rebel Eyeshadow Quad* need its own post. That’s why I have all the gorgeous photos, swatches, and even a brand new makeup look to share with you today.
Charlotte Tilbury makeup always starts with the stunning packaging and the The Rebel Eyeshadow Quad is no different. It’s a dark brown with rose gold accents. Inside there are four shades, with each quad designed for a particular “look”. There’s also a large mirror, and no room for applicators which is something I’m very grateful for! It just takes up space and makes palettes bulkier. The Charlotte Tilbury The Rebel Eyeshadow Quad is in shades of green, so it was one of the highest on my wishlist since the brand first launched in Canada. I did experience two shades falling out but they are easy to glue back in and it was most likely the postal service being a bit rough with my parcel–still, nothing cracked!
The Charlotte Tilbury The Rebel Eyeshadow Quad includes Prime, a golden shimmery champagne which is so buttery and gorgeous, Enhance, a warm yellow-leaning green with a pearly sheen and soft lovely texture, Pop, a very glittery olive green with that almost wet glitter consistency although still quite pigmented, as well as Smoke, a dark teal that was a bit hard for me and not as pigmented as all the other reviews I’ve see although the shade is still beautiful.
The wear on all the shadows in the Charlotte Tilbury The Rebel Eyeshadow Quad was really excellent, I went without primer for the photos in this post and you don’t need it for the colour and I also didn’t need it for the wear. Of course, primer always improves, but on their own these shadows last most of the day and only start creasing at the end of it, so I am really impressed.
This first look using the Charlotte Tilbury The Rebel Eyeshadow Quad is a repeat from my Rebellious Valentine’s Day Makeup Look (see the full details here) but I figured I would share it again in case you find me thanks to Google and just see this review. I used the shadows in the most obvious way to me for this look, which is Prime as an inner corner highlight, Enhance all over the lid, and Smoke in the crease. Finally, I gently patted the glitter Pop all over the lid for an added sparkle.
For my second look using the Charlotte Tilbury The Rebel Eyeshadow Quad I used Prime all over the lid. Then I used Smoke to line my lower lash line as well as up into the crease. That’s it! The shadows have so much depth that it looks gorgeous even when I just use two of them.
Obviously, I love the Charlotte Tilbury The Rebel Eyeshadow Quad. No surprise there, it’s stunning. Everything from the packaging to the colour selection to the shadows themselves is really lovely. I was already lusting over the Dolce Vita Quad but now that I’ve tried this one out for myself…the longing is even stronger.
