Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil

Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil 3Ever since beauty blogging lead me to discover them, I have a been a big fan of night-time oils on my face, something that shocks me and my breakout-prone skin, but somehow manages to work. Lately, I’ve been using the brand new Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil* so I’m excited to share my thoughts on it.

Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery OilCaudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil comes in a dropper packaging (and there’s just something superficially so pretty about it and the red glass bottle) and I apply about 7 drops each night. I like using this oil not only on my face, but on my neck as well. Got to keep that neck skin looking good!

Although it’s intended for dry to very dry skin (which I definitely don’t have, although I do have dry patches) I still like the effect on my combination skin. I can get away with just using the oil, but if you have very dry skin you may want to use a moisturizer as well.

Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil 2The Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil has a light herbal scent, which I find relaxing and not overwhelming, and it’s much more subtle than Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate* (which I reviewed here). It does take a little while to absorb into my skin, so I wouldn’t apply it immediately before going to sleep, but if you have at least 15 minutes till you’re rolling your face into your pillow you should be fine.

After using Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil, I find the biggest difference I notice is that my skin is softer. It has really improved the texture of my skin, which is why I like using it on my neck too. I also find that my skin looks healthier in the morning, almost as if the oil helps plump it up and give it a glow. I definitely recommend checking out this product if you’re looking for a good night-time oil, and I’m sure it will be even nicer on my skin during the drier winter months.

Do you use night oils? Let me know if you have a favourite!
