Caudalie is a brand that makes some really lovely skincare products I have shared on Writing Whimsy in the past, and for the holidays they have a fantastic lineup of value gift sets, including the Caudalie Moisture Essentials Set*. These sets make great gifts for others, or a convenient way to try out–or stock up–on products from the brand with a great savings.
The Caudalie Moisture Essentials Set includes everything you need to clean and hydrate your skin, starting off with the Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water to remove makeup, then the Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet to moisturize your skin, as well as the Caudalie Lip Conditioner to protect your lips especially in the winter time.
The Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water is a gentle cleansing water that includes ingredients like grape water and chamomile extract to help moisturize and soothe the skin. It has a light grape scent and I use it by applying it too a cotton pad to remove makeup and prior to using a heavier cleanser. It’s definitely effective at removing makeup, and I don’t find it irritates my skin at all, although for very heavy stubborn makeup (like waterproof mascara) I would reach for an oil instead. However, for light daily use, this is a lovely micellar water. The Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet is a lightweight moisturizer with that grape Caudalie scent that smells lovely and absorbs quickly into the the skin. However, despite the lightweight formula and consistency, I still find it to be quite moisturizing and it definitely instantly refreshes my skin. I definitely need longer to fully test out how this moisturizer works with my skin, but so far I am really enjoying it. I’m also finding that it’s also a good moisturizer to use in the mornings before you apply makeup.
The final product in the Caudalie Moisture Essentials Set is the Caudalie Lip Conditioner, which I actually first tried out last year as a part of my Caudalie Holiday Gift Guide. This is a very moisturizing lip balm and the convenient part is that it’s in a stick, unlike many of my other favourites that come in tubes or pots. It has a waxy, creamy consistency that feels great on the lips and leaves a shiny finish with no white cast. However, it does have to be reapplied regularly. There’s a light scent but no flavour to the balm.
Overall, I think the Caudalie Moisture Essentials Set is a great trio of products whether you’re a long time fan of the brand, or wanting to try it out for the first time. Plus, the whole set costs a dollar less than just purchasing the moisturizer, so you basically get two products for free!
Have you tried any these Caudalie products before? Another great option from the brand is the amazing Caudalie Favorites Winter Set which has 4 great products including my much-loved Beauty Elixir and is only $29 CAN!
