Well, here’s a product I’m halfway done and I’m still not sure if I can review confidently, and that’s the Caudalie Contouring Concentrate*. This is an oil formulated to help reduce the appearance of cellulite, as well as improve skin firmness.
The Caudalie Contouring Concentrate comes in a long, glass tube with measurements along the side so you know about how much to use each day and a small opening at the top. The main ingredient is grape seed oil for moisturizing, but it also contains essential oils of oils like juniper berries, gernanium and rosemary (for toning), lemon and lemongrass (for draining) and cypress (to stimulate circulation). As a result it has a pretty strong lemongrass scent to me, which I like.
I apply the Caudalie Contouring Concentrate to my hands, and then massage it into my thighs and any other areas of concern after showering, while my skin is still slightly damp. Although it leaves a slightly shiny feeling initially, the oil actually absorbs quite well and don’t leave me greasy or uncomfortable.
After applying the Caudalie Contouring Concentrate for about 3 weeks whenever I shower, I noticed a slight improvement in the firmness/tightness of my skin immediately after using the product. I think it helps improve the smoothness of my skin, however, I’m definitely skeptical of how dramatic or long lasting such results will be, as the effect seems to be pretty immediate in response to applying the concentrate. However, even if I don’t think this product is going to totally rid me of cellulite, it’s a nice oil to use on my skin. I still have half a bottle left, so you can expect to see my final opinion in a future empties post!
Have you tried the Caudalie Contouring Concentrate or any other firmer products? I’d love to know how they worked for you!
