The weather might be terrible, but there are lots of things that are nice about December, like my upcoming vacation (I will be leaving soon for PERU). Also, holiday gift sets! Today I have some of those wonderful goodies from an eco and skin-friendly brand in a Burt’s Bees Holiday Gift Guide.
It seems like many people take their mid-to-late twenties as a good time to have offspring (I’ve still got another few decades in school, personally) and if you happen to know any of those people, I think the Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Merry Kit* is an adorable and lovely set. This set contains the Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash (tear-free) and the Baby Bee Original Lotion (no phthalates, parabens, petrolatum, or SLS). One of my co-workers who is extremely conscious of baby things had these products on her baby shower registry, so I know they are good!
One of the items I’m definitely keeping for myself out of this Burt’s Bees Holiday Gift Guide? The Burt’s Bees Honey Pot Gift Set*. Honey is one of my favourite ingredients, and this set includes the Milk & Honey Body Lotion, Honey Lip Balm and Honey & Grapeseed Oil Hand Cream. I have been using the hand cream at work, and it is quite heavy duty with a strong sweet scent, it takes awhile to rub in but the end result is very nice! The body lotion also has a strong sweet scent and is really nice during the winter time, while the lip balms have that beeswax consistency to them but leave my lips nicely moisturized.
In addition to the larger gift sets, there are plenty of mini ones in my Burt’s Bees Holiday Gift Guide, which make great stocking stuffers as well. First, there’s the A Bit of Burt’s Bees Sets* which include a lip balm (for example mango, pink grapefruit, pomegranate or beeswax) along with a nourishing hand product– either lemon butter cuticle cream or hand salve. I am personally obsessed with the the lemon cuticle butter, it reminds me of a more purse-friendly version of Lush Lemony Flutter, plus it has a stronger lemon scent to it. It’s very easy to apply and smells fantastic. The lip balms all vary slightly–I’ve used the pomegranate in the past, and it’s not quite as nourishing mango butter one I’m using at the moment, but they are all very nice on dry winter lips. Despite the slight scent, there’s no flavour, which I also appreciate.
A few other smaller options? Well for the lip balm addict, there’s the Burt’s Bees Lip Trio* which is exactly what it sounds like! There’s also a Burt’s Bees Hive Favourites* which comes with a lip balm and a small container of the Milk & Honey Body Lotion also included in the Honey Pot set. This lotion is really moisturizing, so the small tubes can easily work as hand cream as well.
There are tons of options in this Burt’s Bees Holiday Gift Guide, and there are even more available in store. They are affordable (the most expensive thing in this post is about $25), great for your skin and lips, smells fantastic, and are filled with natural ingredients. Honestly, nothing bad here, and this is one of my mom’s favourite brands so I’ll definitely have to share some of my goodies with her! Are you picking up any of the awesome Burt’s Bees sets this holiday season?
