I really love the warm scent of My Burberry for fall and winter, but during the hotter weather I definitely reach for something lighter instead which is exactly why the Burberry My Burberry Eau de Toilette* was launched.
Burberry My Burberry Eau de Toilette is a lighter, spring blossom garden take on the My Burberry Eau de Parfum that features the exact same gorgeous bottle, with a liquid inside that is also lighter. Repeating the packaging is something Burberry has done before but since the liquids are clearly different colours, I don’t mind in this case because they are easy to tell apart and the fragrances could be nice matching Spring and Fall siblings on a vanity.
Burberry My Burberry Eau de Toilette is a very white floral scent, that’s bright and includes top notes of lemon blossom (this a floral note, not a citrus one as far as I can smell) and sweat pea, a heat of peony, peach blossom and freesia (I especially notice the peony and freesia), with a base of Damask rose, white moss and musk.
To me, this scent is like holding your nose to flowers and the ground right after they’ve bloomed. There’s a hint of sweet mixed with fresh florals, and while the scent is definitely a lot lighter than the original, it still has that touch of musk to it. One spray of the Burberry My Burberry Eau de Toilette is enough to last me all day!
Overall, the Burberry My Burberry Eau de Toilette is a lovely variation on the original scent, but while it doesn’t quite win out over My Burberry Eau de Parfum for me, it is a great choice for Spring in particular with slightly musky white florals.
