I’ve been lusting over Burberry makeup since last winter when I saw it in person in London. I was so distracted by their amazing eye shadows I didn’t pay much attention to anything else, so I was really excited to try out their lip gloss, the Burberry Lip Glow in Nude Rose*.
First up, the packaging feels luxurious, I mean, even the cardboard box it comes in is textured and metallic and feels fancy. The gloss itself is in a thick acrylic tube with the classic Burberry print on the lid.
Burberry Lip Glow in Nude Rose is a very sheer gloss with a faint pinkish-nude (…or nude rose) colour to it. It mainly adds shine to the lips, and could also be used to tone down any lip shades. It has a doe foot applicator, but I find that it’s either too small or the gloss is too thick, because I do have to reach back in the tube for more in order to get a full application. Or maybe I just really like wearing a lot of lipgloss.
Burberry Lip Glow in Nude Rose is non-sticky, but a thicker gloss that really gives a shine to my lips. I find it lasts a couple hours without eating, perhaps slightly longer than average, and has no taste or scent to it.
Overall, I like the formula of Burberry Lip Glow in Nude Rose, but the sheer shade means it’s not a standout in my collection and I’m still lusting after the brands more pigmented products (did I say eye shadow yet?)
Have you tried any Burberry beauty products? They are brand new to Canada!
