For a product I’ve been fawning over for weeks, I’ve been pretty terrible about actually posting a review of the Burberry Complete Eye Palette in Nude Blush (No. 12)*, but can I just say? The hype about Burberry shadows is real and this quad are easily some of my favourite shadows I own.
There are nine different quads available but the one that has been at the top of my wishlist is definitely the Burberry Complete Eye Palette in Nude Blush (No. 12). It has rose-leaning neutral hues, and comes in a sleek gunmetal grey compact in the classic Burberry design. This is definitely makeup that looks expensive, but the quality of these shadows match up with the appearance.
Not only does the outside of the Burberry Complete Eye Palette in Nude Blush (No. 12) have the signature Burberry check design, but it is also embossed on the shadows. The compact feels weighty and shuts with a satisfying magnetic snap. It also includes a little velvet Burberry pouch, and three tiny brushes, which actually aren’t awful for travel.
One of the things I really adore about the Burberry Complete Eye Palette in Nude Blush (No. 12) is how the shadows are laid out–you have the most of the two lid shades, and less of the highlight, and the smallest amount of the darkest shade. I always reach for the dark shades the least in palettes, so this design is perfect.
Burberry Complete Eye Palette in Nude Blush (No. 12) includes a dark eggplant with a bit of sparkle, a creamy matte rosewood, a shimmery coppery rose, and a pinkish beige. All the shades are pigmented and creamy, but they aren’t so intense they are difficult to apply. For me, the four shades make an instant look I love, which I’ve shown below.
I used the dark eggplant from the Burberry Complete Eye Palette in Nude Blush (No. 12) on my lower lash line, and although it does have some glitter in it that’s not visible once applied. I’m usually a bit nervous about liner on my lower lash line, but I got a compliment on a blog post recently so I tried to push my comfort zone, and the fact that it’s purple instead of black helps it not to be too harsh I think.
On my lid I used the mauve in the crease and the copper on the rest of my lid. I used the lightest shade as a highlight on the inner corner and brow bone. The shadows blend gorgeous, and I absolutely love this look!
I’m wearing plenty of my Burberry favourites including Burberry Fresh Glow Foundation in Porcelain No.11, Burberry Kisses Sepia and Burberry Lip & Cheek Bloom in Rose No.01. This brand is definitely a treat but I love their products.
Finally, I’m also really happy with the wear of the shadows in this quad. I still prefer to stick with primer as a base now that I’ve discovered how magical it is, but the shades still look good at the end of the day if I don’t.
The Burberry Complete Eye Palette in Nude Blush (No. 12) is a gorgeous mix of rosy shades that I’m absolutely in love with. The only problem is that now it really wants a friend to keep it company. Plum Pink (No. 6) is perfect for fall…
