When I first saw the press releases for The Body Shop Spa of the World Collection, I was stunned. I have always loved the products inside The Body Shop containers, but I really felt like they stepped up their packaging for this launch to give it a more expensive look. Of course, that made me curious to see what the new products inside that chic packaging where like, and luckily I had the chance to try out the new The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Body Clay* as well as the The Body Shop Hawaiian Kukui Cream* .
The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Body Clay is a full body mask meant to purify and soften your skin. I had never tried a body mask before using this one, but it is taking inspiration from the spa into a product you can use at home. The problem is that you have to apply it, wait 10 minutes for it to dry, and then shower off the clay. That’s 10 minutes waiting with no hot water, and I’ll be honest, I couldn’t last the whole time.
In terms of how it feels, The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Body Clay has a cooling feeling that leaves my skin feeling refreshed. I think this would be a great product if you struggle with acne on your body, but the application process unfortunately doesn’t work for me. I’ll stick to facial masks for now!
For a product I 100% fell in love with, there’s The Body Shop Hawaiian Kukui Cream. This cream comes in a giant container (it’s almost double the size of the regular body butters) and has a very thick consistency. I’m not sure what kukui oil smells like, and if that’s what is responsible for the scent, but I really love the lightly sweet, slightly nutty, creaminess to it.
Even though The Body Shop Hawaiian Kukui Cream is very rich, it still absorbs very into the skin and leaves it feeling soft and hydrated. This is definitely one of the most moisturizing creams I’ve tried from The Body Shop, and because it’s non-greasy I even like using it on my hands because of how dry they are. I have a lot of lotion but I can already tell this will be a winter favourite!
There are all kinds of lovely products in the The Body Shop Spa of the World Collection including oils, clays, and creams. I’m really impressed with the packaging and the products themselves, and if I ever finish the giant tub, I would definitely repurchase The Body Shop Hawaiian Kukui Cream.
Have you tried anything from the Spa of the World lineup yet? Let me know, I’m especially interested in the Egyptian Milk & Honey Bath!
