My original intention was just to do one full The Body Shop Holiday Gift Guide, and while you’ll see one of those later this week, I ended up having so much gushing to do over the The Body Shop Glazed Apple Bath Jelly* and Body Butter* that they needed their own post. So obviously this is going to be a positive review on the new, limited edition scent from the brand. I love it.
The Body Shop Glazed Apple Bath Jelly is a brand new product in a brand new scent, and I am in love. I actually purchased one of these and was sent one, and a reasonable person would probably regift the duplicate but I’m sorry to say…mine, mine, mine. It basically smells like sour candy apple lollypops from Jolly Rancher, and has the weirdest texture to it, almost rubbery in that if you press down or reform it, it will slowly go back to the way it was. There’s a little scoop you can use to spoon some in under running water (and again, what’s left springs back so you can’t even tell you removed any), and it adds bubbles along with a slight green tint and some of the scent to the water. I find The Body Shop Glazed Apple Bath Jelly fairly moisturizing although the bubbles aren’t incredibly long-lasting, and it reminds me of the Honeymania Bubble Bath Melt, only a lot less likely to make a mess and spill, and a lot more fun to play with.
After a bath, I love to slather on some of The Body Shop Glazed Apple Body Butter. This definitely a favourite product of mine from the brand, and I am always happy to have it in a new scent. In body butter format, Glazed Apple is slightly less sour, although quite similar. It’s incredibly moisturizing and absorbs well into the skin, leaving behind that delicious scent. No complaints here!
I absolutely love The Body Shop Glazed Apple scent, and I highly recommend both the Bath Jelly and Body Butter this holiday season! Whether you’re looking for a fun new product or a classic in a different scent, The Body Shop Glazed Apple Collection has something for you this holiday season. If you’re not into apple, there’s also limited edition scents Frosted Cranberry and Vanilla Brulee, as well as many awesome gift sets I will be sharing on Writing Whimsy soon!
