The Body Shop Color Crush Nail Polish: Peach Babe, Oh Petal, Meet Me At Dusk, Rosy Cheeks

The Body Shop Color Crush Nail Polish 9Sometimes, on Writing Whimsy, I lie to you. It’s not intentional, but there was a time back in September when I promised a “4 part sneak peek” of the, then brand new, The Body Shop Color Crush Nail Polishes, that I failed to deliver after part one. While cleaning up my computer I realized I had photos and notes for part two so at the very least I can offer you swatches and reviews of The Body Shop Color Crush Nail Polish in the shades Peach Babe*, Oh Petal*, Meet Me At Dusk* and Rosy Cheeks*. Later, we’ll talk about the remaining shades…

The Body Shop Color Crush Nail Polish 8 The Body Shop Color Crush Nail Polish 7The Body Shop Color Crush Nail Polish in Peach Babe is a great peachy summery shade but unfortunately the formula isn’t flawless. It’s quite streaky and uneven with one coat, and so although two helps a lot, you can still see that the coverage isn’t quite even.

I actually ended up going for three with this shade, and I was quite happy with the end result, which reminds me a lot of pink cotton candy. Yum!

The Body Shop Color Crush Nail Polish 4 The Body Shop Color Crush Nail Polish 3I shouldn’t be excited by The Body Shop Color Crush Nail Polish in Meet Me At Dusk, but there’s something really pretty to me about this work-appropriate shade, even if it’s not the most flattering on my skintone. This dusty rose is even and opaque with two smooth coats.

Well, there you have more shades from the The Body Shop Color Crush Nail Polish line. Out of these four it’s pretty obvious my favourite is Meet Me At Dusk, and although the formula is a bit inconsistent (although never bad) with these shades, overall it’s really nice with the line, so I’ll just have to actually blog about a few more shades to prove it. You know, maybe in another couple months…
Have you tried any of The Body Shop polishes yet?
