Along with Aliens Exist, this is probably my other favourite polish I picked up in my indie polish haul, and it’s Black Sheep Lacquer Run to the Hills, an amazing opaque purple glitterbomb.
Once again I swatched Black Sheep Lacquer Run to the Hills a few different ways for comparison. On my index finger is three coats of the polish itself, the middle finger is two over a purple base (a gorgeous one from Essence!), ring finger is over white, and finally over black. You can see what one coat of the polish by itself looks like it the above photo, it is nice and sparkly but I recommend two coats even if you’re using it on top of a base for extra glitter.
Like a lot of polishes with big glitter, I did find that Black Sheep Lacquer Run to the Hills required a bit of dabbing if I wanted to get an even distribution, but it was definitely worth it. How gorgeous is this polish? Looking at these photos makes me want to put it on my nails right now (and I’m wearing an Enchanted!)
I even managed to grab a photo of Black Sheep Lacquer Run to the Hills in the sun so you can see how gorgeous and sparkly it really is.
Black Sheep Lacquer Run to the Hills is a light purple base that builds to opacity and is filled with all sorts of glitter, large and small, mainly of the navy and silver variety. It’s another polish I have nothing at all like in my collection, and I do love purple!
I definitely prefer this polish over the purple base, because it also makes it easier to remove even though I use a base coat regardless, it’s also really pretty on its own. Black Sheep Lacquer Run to the Hills is not as vibrant over white and a little too opaque to look good over black, in my opinion.
Anyway I stayed home from work today (Monday) and was miserable so I’m hoping to be in top shape tomorrow after the day off, and I should have the final Black Sheep Lacquer polish I have to share this week up on Wednesday. Spoiler: it’s PINK.
What do you think of this purple beauty? Obviously my opinion is pretty clear!
If you are interested in Black Sheep Lacquer Run to the Hills or any of the other polishes I’ve showcased over the last week you can check out the Etsy shop here.
Note: I received a blogger discount when purchasing this polish. However I always provide my honest opinion regardless of the source of a product.
