I’m a huge fan of the Bioderma Sensibo H20 Micellar Water, which does a great and gentle job removing my makeup and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. So, I was pretty excited to learn about Bioderma Hydrabio Micelle Solution*, which is now available in Canadian drugstores and promises the same benefits as the sensitive skin original, but with moisturize for dehydrated skin as well.
I actually didn’t find the original Bioderma drying, although I always follow up with a moisturizer, so I was curious how this compared. Bioderma Hydrabio Micelle Solution has a similar feeling to water, and I apply some to a cotton pad before pressing it to my face to remove makeup. However, in comparison I do think it is slightly less dry on the skin and a little more gentle that way. The only issue is, while this product is also described as being for sensitive skin and good for Face & Eyes, it also (unlike Sensibo) contains Fragrance as the very last ingredient. It is a very subtle scent, but it is probably why I don’t find it quite as gentle on my eyes.
Whether you want to go for the Bioderma Hydrabio Micelle Solution or the original Sensibo really does depend on you, and I think both are really nice to use as a part of my cleansing routine. However, unless you have especially dry skin, I can’t see why the original Bioderma Sensibo H20 Micellar Water wouldn’t be effective, since it is going to be followed by a moisturizer anyway, so that is the one I will stick with going forward. There’s actually also a brand new Bioderma Sensibio Cleansing Milk available that I’ve only tried once so far, but I suspect that will be a great option for dry skin as well!
