Beauty on the Go: Caudalie, Elixirs & Co and Marvis

Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream 2It’s been a little while, but I think it’s about time for another Beauty on the Go post, where I share reviews of products that are great for travel. Today’s post is a bit of a random collection of three helpful products which are a Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream*, an Elixirs & Co Depression Roll-On* and a Marvis Amarelli Licorice Toothpaste*. All three are under 100 mL for air travel and safe to tuck in your carry on for those desperate moments.

Caudalie Hand and Nail CreamI only have a little bit of experience with the brand Caudalie, but it’s all been pretty positive so far. I really wanted to feature their refreshing Beauty Elixir in this post, but I don’t currently have a bottle so maybe next time! However, I did try out the Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream which is packaged in a foil tube that I really like. I really hate greasy hands but I think this cream does a pretty good job absorbing (though it’s not immediately non-greasy) it’s very nourishing and full of great ingredients that definitely leave my hands feeling soft. There’s a fragrance to the product which I really like and keeps me smelling my hands but may not be for everyone (but it’s definitely for me!)

Elixirs & Co Depression Roll-OnThe next product is something a bit unusual, Elixirs & Co Depression Roll-On is a small bottle of fragrance that you dab on your wrists and is supposed to help with depression. It is full of organic Bach flower essences and essential oils with specific purposes. For example, wild rose to allow acceptance and forgiveness, sweet marjoram to relieve anxiety, and lemongrass to help be positive and retrieve energy. Honestly, it’s hard for me to tell how well this works, but depending on what scents you find calming it may be a good idea, as I know sometimes scent can be soothing for me. You can learn more about the different oils and what they do on the Les Fleurs De Bach website. It has quite a strong scent but it’s not very noticeable unless you bring your wrist close to you.

Marvis Amarelli LicoriceThe final product in this Beauty on the Go is the Marvis Amarelli Licorice Toothpaste, and I just love this packaging as well! There’s something really retro and cool about it, but I was pretty skeptical about the licorice flavour (the brand does have more familiar flavours such as Cinnamon Mint as well) however I actually LOVE this toothpaste. It’s one of those toothpastes that leaves my teeth feeling really clean (especially important when you are traveling!) without being harsh, and the licorice flavour is subtle. There’s something cooling about it that adds to how fresh my mouth feels afterwards, it really is like going to the dentist. There’s some cool history to the brand too, as Marvis was originally made in Italy in the 60s as a product for smokers to use to remove stains without damaging the enamel or irritating the gums. Honestly, I wasn’t sure how much I’d have to say about a toothpaste, but I am a huge fan and definitely want to try more flavours. Plus it looks so cool on my bathroom counter.

Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream 3A bit of an eclectic Beauty on the Go, but there’s something for the skin, something for the mouth and something for the mind, all of which it’s important to care for when traveling.

What do you take with you when you travel? Also I am thinking of renaming this series, so watch for the next post of travel-friendly beauty that may be called something else clever I haven’t thought of yet!
