Sorry about the post failure (AGAIN, I know!) I’ve headed home a few days ago and was crummy at scheduling in advance. I’ve spent my computer time checking out other blogs instead of updating my own, hard to get a good balance there. But here’s a post! And it’s all about my Beauty Box 5 June box.
Honestly, even though I’m really enjoying this much-needed vacation, I keep thinking about the exciting mail I probably have waiting for me back home! I’m hoping none of it gets returned to sender while I’m away. This post is about some (sadly) less exciting mail though. I guess I wasn’t in a rush to get this post up because I wasn’t at all blown away by the contents of my Beauty Box 5 June box. That said, I’ve seen some July spoilers and they do look a lot better, so I’m not going to rue the fact that I got a one year Beauty Box 5 subscription yet!
I do really like the way the Beauty Box 5 June box was packaged, and I think that’s quite consistent among Beauty Box 5, it comes in a tiny box that can actually fit in my apartment mailbox (yay!) Everything is well packaged with those annoying crinkly bits of paper.
Inside there’s a very informative info card along with the products, and this month there were 2 possible “editions” of the box you could received. The second box came with sunscreen and eyeshadow instead of facial wash and brush holder. I think I might have liked the other box more, but neither was really exciting.
Here’s what I got for the Beauty Box 5 June box:
- Just Being Sexy Body Bronzer
- Shea Terra Organics Rose Hips Black Soap Facial
- Minxxette Brush Hanger
- Coolway Cool Cleanse Shampoo
- Coolway Cool Hydrate Conditioner
I’m not going to give individual reviews of these products, because I honestly haven’t used any of them yet. The brush holder and bronzer have both gone up on my swap board– but seriously, who cleans only one brush at a time? The shampoo and conditioner will come in handy at some point and are supposed to help with frizziness something that my curly hair suffers from badly.
The product I am most excited about is the soap, which apparently ‘lifts away dead skin cells, evens skin tone, firms skin, and fights acne.” You have to let it sit on your face for 5-10 minutes before washing it away. It’s perfect for my skin type and I am excited to give it a try. But the Beauty Box 5 June box was definitely a disappointing box overall.
Beauty Box 5 is the cheapest beauty subscription box I know of, and you can sign up for a full year for only $99, or $12 a month, including shipping to the US or Canada. Beauty Box 5 June box was disappointing but I am quite excited for July and hopefully that we’ll see an improvement soon. If you’re interested in signing up, I’d love if you’d use my referral link.
What do you think of Beauty Box 5? Do you find the Beauty Box 5 June box as boring as I do?
