I have made it very clear on my blog that I love the scent of rose, so whenever I see a fragrance with rose in it, I am instantly interested (see example one, example two). Balenciaga Rosabotanica* was my first time trying a scent from the brand and they definitely have my attention now.
Balenciaga Rosabotanica is an Eau de Parfum and I get about 6 hours or so of wear out of it. I’m surprised it doesn’t last longer but that really varies based on skin chemistry. Even though I love rose, this is a fragrance that is completely unique in my collection, which is great as sometimes florals can start to blur together. Balenciaga Rosabotanica is described as a spicy rose, and I think that’s very accurate, as there are definitely the refresh floral elements that makes this a great scent for warm weather, but it also has some spiciness from the amber. I think this is a great scent to transition into fall with because it’s fresh but not overly sweet.
In addition to the scent, I’m always interested in the packaging of a fragrance and how it’s going to look on my dresser. I think there’s something really cool and edgy about Balenciaga Rosabotanica and I love the combination of the stripes and the floral artwork. Also, now I really want the original Florabotanica so they can be twins!
Overall, I’m really happy I got the chance to try out Balenciaga Rosabotanica. I’m not surprised I love it, but I am really pleased by how unique it is. Have you ever tried any scents from the brand before?
