Just a quick little post this morning with two polishes I received that hadn’t made an appearance yet on Writing Whimsy, the Avon Nailwear Pro+ Nail Enamel in Licorice* and Decadence*.
Avon Nailwear Pro+ Nail Enamel in Decadence is a dark shimmery purple with a reddish base to it that gives it a a lovely glow. It took 2 coats for opacity but as pretty as it is, I do find it a bit uneven.
Avon Nailwear Pro+ Nail Enamel in Licorice is a black creme with a gorgeous glossy finish. It takes 2 coats for a flawless application, and when I know there are great one coater blacks available I’m unlikely to reach for this, but the end result is great.
Both these shades are great for winter, but while I have fallen in love with Avon polishes in the past. For example, check out this review of the Avon Gel Finish 7-in-1 Nail Enamel in Iceberg White and Alaska from last January. Nothing wrong with these shades, just nothing I’m super excited about either. What do you think?
