With winter weather, sometimes my skin gets desperate. Desperate for moisture that is. Honestly, my boyfriend’s is even worse, so I was happy to find the new Avon Moisture Therapy Derma Soothing Body Wash* and Body Lotion*, as well as the Avon Moisture Therapy Calming Relief Anti-Itch Spray Lotion*, in my mailbox recently so that I could test it out (and share with him!)
Both the Avon Moisture Therapy Derma Soothing Body Wash and Body Lotion are safe for eczema-prone skin as they are fragrance-free, dye-free and hypoallergenic. It’s especially unique that the Avon Moisture Therapy Derma Soothing Body Wash is intended for dry skin, as it provides a gentle cleanse and includes ingredients like aloe and chamomile. Although this is a very thick, non-drying body wash, I definitely still recommend using a moisturizer afterwards, especially if you have dry skin.
The Avon Moisture Therapy Derma Soothing Body Lotion is an intensive cream with a lightweight texture to it, that really coats the skin. As a result, I wouldn’t use this as a hand lotion but for very dry skin needed a protective layer, it really does the job. The only issue I have is that it is quite runny so I have to be careful opening the tube.
Finally, if the Avon Moisture Therapy Derma Soothing Body Wash and Body Lotion don’t fully manage to keep the dry, itchy feeling away, there’s always the brand new Avon Moisture Therapy Calming Relief Anti-Itch Spray Lotion. I actually thought this would smell like oatmeal but instead there’s just a slight hint of the menthol it contains. I like the spray format and the fact that it’s not at all greasy, and I do find it slightly cooling when applied, but it’s definitely not a miracle cure for winter itchiness.
The new Avon Moisture Therapy Derma Soothing Body Wash, Body Lotion and Avon Moisture Therapy Calming Relief Anti-Itch Spray Lotion may not be the most exciting products to ever appear on this blog, but the truth is, when it’s winter time the thing I care most about is if a product does the job, and the body wash and body lotion definitely do.
