I’ve admitted before that although bar glitter can give a unique look, it’s not something I am a big fan of. That said, there are some pretty glamorous combinations available in the new Avon Metallic Fringe Top Coats*, although I personally feel they lean more winter than summer despite their July launch. When used as a glitter top coat, all five shades have great, even coverage.
Avon Metallic Fringe Top Coat in Jacquard Metal is a combination of medium blue and shiny gold bar glitter. I layered on coat of Jacquard Metal on top of OPI Life Gave Me Lemons.
Avon Metallic Fringe Top Coat in Fringed and Flayed is a combination of matte white and shiny gold bar glitter. I layered one coat of Fringed and Flayed on top of OPI I Sea You Wear OPI, although I think this glitter would look especially nice over black.
Avon Metallic Fringe Top Coat in Frayed Edges is a mix of matte white and shiny silver bar glitter. I layered one coat of Frayed Edges on top of OPI Down to the Core-al, and again, I think this really give that fringe look over black but I was trying to go for a more summery option.
Avon Metallic Fringe Top Coat in Tasseled Trim is a mix of metallic blue-leaning purple and silver bar glitter. Tasseled Trim is extra sparkly and I think it’s my favourite, I layered one coat on top of OPI Hotter Than You Pink.
Avon Metallic Fringe Top Coat in Fringed Effect is a mix of matte black and metallic gold bar glitter. I layered one coat of Fringed Effect on top of Quo by Orly Adrenaline for what was a pretty Halloween-y combination.
Let’s be honest, bar glitter is never going to totally win me over, but if you are looking for some nice ones the new Avon Metallic Fringe Top Coats have a great formula and mix of shades. My personal pick is the purple and silver Tasseled Trim, it definitely gives that metallic fringe feeling. What do you think?
