Do you miss empties? It’s been MONTHS since I’ve posted one and I have no good excuse, they are just super time-consuming and I’ve been a bit behind on blogging and haven’t made the effort for these. I know there are some people who really like to read them–and I love them on other blogs–so I thought I’d try to play a little catchup. I actually have a few bags of empties in my closet and I’m not totally sure which one is which month but let’s start with these photos I took in May and never blogged of my April Empties.
Apparently I mostly just drank a lot of tea in April, starting off with the DAVIDsTEA Chocolate Macaroon, which was a yummy sweet black chocolate dessert tea. `I also drank up a DAVIDsTEA Vanilla Matcha and DAVIDsTEA Mocha Matcha tin, both of which I love. They are already sweetened matcha perfect for making a quick latte!
I finally finished off one of the many tins of DAVIDsTEA Forever Nuts I’ve purchased for my boyfriend in the past–he used to drink it a lot more but we had a little too much sitting around. I also finished DAVIDsTEA Sangria by making the rest of it iced, it’s good warm as well but better iced and really does live up to its name. Finishing DAVIDsTEA Spiced Pumpkin was bittersweet because I love it so much, but I did pick up a 250 gram bag to replace it so I’m still doing alright on that front for now.
I also made an effort to finish a bunch of my little DAVIDsTEA samples including Sleigh Ride, Forever Nuts (x2), Brazillionaire, Pure Chai and Spiced Fig. I’m sad that both Brazillionaire and Pure Chai are discontinued, they are some of my favourite black teas. I also used up the rest of my DAVIDsTEA Grand Cru Matcha which is always sad, I put it in my smoothie daily.
For empties of the non-tea variety I have Secret outlast Completely Clean Antiperspirant, which was one of my last antiperspirants and I’m really trying to use natural deodorants but they just don’t work as well. I also finished off a tub of Lush African Paradise Body Conditioner which smelled great and did an awesome job moisturizing my skin in the shower. The Lush Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask smelled great and did an awesome job although I think I still prefer the Cosmetic Catastrophe one. Finally, the essence Lash Princess mascara is a good affordable mascara.
I also finished a few more products for the tub including the Fresh Sugar Lychee Sugarbath, which were nice (and that container is gorgeous) but for the price I’d probably just stick to Lush instead–but if you like something more subtle definitely check these out. The Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company Gift from the Sea Bath Soak really gave me a boost when I felt sick and cleared up my sinuses. The Dermalogica Hydro-active Mineral Salts were really soothing and also work great as a scrub.
The final three products I finished are the Pantene Ultimate 10 BB Creme which is a BB cream for hair that makes no sense but it really helps tame frizz and add shine, and I actually enjoyed this whole range from Pantene. I’ve also got two candles, a Sugar Cookie Candle which smelled great but had very little scent throw and didn’t burn the whole way, and a Bath & Body Works Pumpkin Cupcake Candle I absolutely adored and would definitely pick up again if I can find it on a huge sale again.
