I’m a big fan of the makeup I’ve tried from Estee Lauder, so when I learned that Lauder’s grand-daughter, Aerin, was launching her own offshoot of the brand targeting a young audience I was definitely interested to try out the products. Especially once I saw they had rose EVERYTHING. The first thing I tried was the AERIN Weekday Palette*, which is a gold palette that contains four creams and three powders, basically everything you need to do an entire face of weekday makeup.
In terms of the compact itself, I actually think it’s quite simple and understated despite being bright gold. The brand is very subtly embossed on the edge, and I do find it a bit difficult to open. Inside there is a large mirror that is great for applying the products.
There are four small cream products on left side of the AERIN Weekday Palette, which are a highlighter in Beam, a Multi Colour of Lips & Cheeks in Natural, and Rose Balm Lipsticks in Geranium and Liebling. There’s also a large blush in Petal, and eyeshadows in Simplicity and Cocoa. Add in a large mirror, a lip brush, and a sponge-applicator, and you have basically everything you need in one travel-friendly compact, contained instead a pretty little pink pouch.
There’s a soft, neutral taupe brown eyeshadow in the AERIN Weekday Palette which is perfect for all over the lid, as well as a glittery black for a little glamour. The black shadow was my least favourite part of the palette, while the brush gives a gorgeous pink glow to the cheeks.
I actually usually don’t like lip products in pan form, but the ones in the AERIN Weekday Palette are so amazing I have already made a big dent in the Rose Balm Lipstick in Liebling, which is what I’m wearing in the photo. It’s super comfortable on the lips, has a subtle rose smell, and is a gorgeous shade. I am very tempted to grab the full size! I also really love the blush, which was quite long-lasting on the cheeks.
In my FOTD photo, I’m wearing some foundation, mascara, brow product and the AERIN Weekday Palette. I definitely think it allows you to create a full, natural, pretty look. This is definitely a luxurious brand, but this palette is a great way to try out a bunch of their products in a super travel-friendly format. The only issue is when you end up wanting standalone versions of all of them as well…
Have you tried anything from AERIN before? I think I need all of the Rose Balm Lipsticks!
