More 2016 Empties I Never Posted About

I’m back with more garbage! I mean empties. These are also from 2016, and can I say how good it feels to finally toss them? That said, there were definitely some products here I wish I hadn’t finished quite yet. But let’s get into it…

I absolutely adore The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel because it smells so delicious, but this giant tub took me forever to finish and I actually used most of it as a foaming hand soap (you can easily make your own). I do miss it but it’ll be awhile before I purchase another shower gel that large… I don’t use shaving gel unless it comes in a set I am gifted but I did finish up Skintimate SkinTherapty Shave Gel, which was nicer than the body wash I normally use, when I remember to use it instead.

I enjoyed the scent of The Body Shop British Rose Exfoliating Gel Body Scrub, but I don’t love the texture of these scrubs, which aren’t really scrubby at all. I love the blackberry scent of Lush The Comforter Shower Cream although it is so pigmented I did worry about it staining although I didn’t have that problem, I stuck to using it in the gym showers. I absolutely adored the scent of The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Shower Gel, and I hope the store brings this lime-y fragrance back again, though I don’t need any more shower gel these days…

I really love the local brand Duckish, so I enjoyed this little pack of Duckish Bath Salts in Lavender, which was super relaxing to use. The Dior Diorshow Maximizer 3D Triple Volume Plumping Lash Primer is a great lash primer, but I am generally too lazy to use this step in my routine. I don’t actually like the scent of coconut so I wasn’t a big fan of the Garnier Whole Blends Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner, although it was nice and moisturizing. There’s also two Lush empties. The Lush Star Light Star Bright Bath Melt was a bath melt covered in silver shimmer with a blue core and a citrus and lavender scent. I’ve had a few in the past and if you don’t mind some shimmer in your bath, it’s super moisturizing and I hope Lush continues to bring it back for the holidays. The other empty is the Lush Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar, which…duh, I adore. I also tossed four nearly empty dried up polishes, Sally Hansen Blue Me Away!, Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro in Posh Pink, Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, and Quo by Orly Turquoise Moonlight. I actually liked all of these but I loved Pacific Blue (which Sally Hansen since reformulated) and Turquoise Moonlight I actually already have another bottle of each.

I always drink an insane amount of matcha, including a 250 gram bag of DAVIDsTEA Pumpkin Pie Matcha–which I had not tried before purchasing this in the web sale, and honestly did not really like that much, it’s my least-loved DT Matcha. But at least I got it in sale…Just not sure about the mix of flavours. I do, however, love DAVIDsTEA Vanilla Matcha, which makes a fantastic latte or is great blended into a smoothie, so there are two bags of that.

Finally, two last tea empties, a DAVIDsTEA Ceremonial Matcha (super silky, although I tend to reimburse my DT points for it and then waste a lot of it in smoothies), and DAVIDsTEA Chocolate Covered Banana which I actually liked unexpectedly so I ended up purchasing a tin when it was on sale. It’s really just a chocolatey, creamy tea.

And that’s it! One more post of 2017 empties and I’ll be done. Are you sick of these weekly empties posts yet? If you’re loving it, well don’t get used to it…
