In addition to a couple products to take care of your lips, Dior launched some stunning new colour products for Spring! There are eyeshadows and polishes, but my post will focus on the lips and cheeks thanks to the Dior Spring 2017 Colour Gradation Diorskin Nude Air Luminizers and Rouge Dior Matte Lipsticks.
I guess after these swatches/photos you don’t really need to keep reading, do you? These products are pretty stunning!
The Dior Diorskin Nude Air Luminizers are available in 4 different shades, and I have the darkest ones, 003 and 004. These are shimmering sculpting powders, also known as stunning highlights, and even though these shades may look a little dark if you’re super pale, they are actually perfect for getting that bronzed glow so that it doesn’t look like you’ve been hibernating all winter. Even if you have been writing your thesis like me.
The Dior Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer comes in a heavy silver compact with a mirror on the lid. It also includes a kabuki brush, which is helpful if you really want an all-over glow, and quite soft, although I tend not to use them for application. The powder itself has a gorgeous embossing on it, which does make me a little sad to use it, but it’s also so pretty when I swatch it that I don’t feel sad for long. 003 is a golden champagne while 004 is a cool bronze. Both shades are quite metallic in the pan, but you can definitely apply them more subtly as well. I’m wearing 003 on my cheekbones in the photos below.
In addition to cheeks, Dior has launched a few new shades in the Dior Rouge Matte Lipstick range. I previously reviewed the range when it first launched, here, and the same comments are true of these new additions. The packaging is classic, sleek Dior, with a nice weight to them and I love the addition of the red inside of the cap. The matte shades are creamy with lots of pigmentation and a “comfortable matte” finish. The lipsticks also have a pretty strong rose scent.
The Dior Rouge Dior 502 Radical Matte definitely scared me when I first saw it, but this concrete grey applies quite evenly to the lips. It has a bit of a blue tone to it and if you’re more comfortable than me making a bold statement, I think this shade is a lot of fun.
If you’re looking for an option in my comfort zone, there’s also the Dior Rouge Dior 745 Terrific Matte. This dark rosewood shade has flawless pigmentation and somehow manages to make my lips look fuller. Love!
There are definitely some stunning and fun new products in the Dior Spring 2017 Colour Gradation Collection. Whether you’re looking for a gorgeous new highlight or a comfortable lipstick loaded in pigmentation, I definitely recommend the Diorskin Nude Air Luminizers and Rouge Dior Matte Lipsticks.
Do you have a favourite product among these? What do you think of a grey lipstick from Dior?
